A Day in the Life of Ed: Coffee, Cooking, and Record Collecting

IMG_1856

☕ The best part of waking up

I am an avid home cook, and my favorite meal of the day is always breakfast and coffee. I start every day off by making myself a breakfast sandwich and large cup of coffee. I prefer iced coffee (because I can drink it faster) so I often make coffee the night before to put in my fridge, so it is ready for the morning. I like to grind the coffee myself using a Mr. Coffee grinder. After finishing my breakfast, I usually take my dog for a walk through the neighborhood.

💻 Helping our customers

During the workday, I get to do one of my favorite things, helping our clients put buyers in their homes! I help collect county specific tax documents for real estate transactions.

I am also in the front lines of our customer service department answering email inquiries and calls. While working from home I still stay very connected with my team. We have a very fun and inspiring work culture.

👨‍🍳🎶 My kitchen, my music

When not working, I often spend a lot of my time cooking. I like to prepare healthy meals and love to make anything from scratch. Lately I have been making all kinds of pickled vegetables. My favorites are pickled onions and carrots. I love putting them in a rice bowl to add an extra element of flavor to the dish.  I really enjoy the process of cooking, as it forces me to slow down and enjoy the moment.

I also have begun collecting records and often put them on when I cook. My latest favorite is the Door's "Greatest Hits". I got it for $20. What a steal! I really like listening to vinyl, because you can't skip tracks and just get to enjoy the album in its entirety.

⛰️ Weekend fun!

I love waking up early on the weekends to really enjoy my down time. I usually start off by either taking my dog to the park or going to the gym. I've been trying to lift more weights at the gym. I'm not very good at it, but it's a lot of fun learning!

Lentil the Dog

Later on in the day I usually like to check out a record store or a local restaurant. My favorite TV show is Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I like to see the different spots Guy Fieri recommends and then check them out in person. My favorite local restaurants highlighted on the show are the Bagel Deli and Sam's No. 3.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to get to know me! I can't wait to see how COCRS can help you in the future.
